Hi, I’m Sasha (she/her), a Clinical Psychologist based in Brooklyn, NY

With over 10 years of experience, I am passionate about supporting individuals and familiars heal from stress, trauma and attachment disruptions. I hold a PhD in Clinical Psychology and received certification as a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner. I have been lucky to work as a therapist, supervisor, consultant and teacher in a variety of settings – from juvenile detention and schools to community clinics.

I specialize in the treatment of trauma, anxiety, mood disorders and emotional/behavioral reactivity, with sensitivity to the impact that both big and small events can have on our ability to function. I use multiple modalities within the therapeutic space and adapt evidence-based approaches to best meet my clients’ unique needs. My areas of specialized training include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Trauma Affect Regulation: Guide for Education & Therapy (TARGET), Skills Training in Affective and Interpersonal Therapy (STAIR), and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy.

In addition to traditional talk-based therapy, I have received training in the use of Somatic Experiencing®, which is a gentle tool to guide the body to new pathways of healing.  As a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner I take a whole body approach to treatment, allowing space for the use of movement, creativity and humor along the way.

In addition to my clinical and academic interests, I enjoy traveling, art making and time outdoors.
